the flu

What a drag. I spent Thursday night with a migraine and throwing up, and now today (Friday) weak and sleeping and alternating between chills and sweating. Not fun.

Poor Robert has been "on" with the kids all day, and last night as well, and is working hard on our kitchen getting it ready for Pesach (Passover). Oh, and getting ready for Shabbat, as well. I did have a small spurt of being up today, and managed to put a few side dishes into the oven to bake, which was good. But that was it for me today. I even had to talk myself into opening my eyes right now, getting over to the bathroom and showering before Shabbat.
(My laptop got in the way.)

But I am going to shower now. I hope I can sit at the table for kiddush and maybe even chicken soup-- yes, meat chicken soup. Robert makes it perfectly, and I need some easily digestible protein.

I'm sure this will pass quickly. But it is just such a bummer.

Shabbat Shalom. Not just *any* Shabbat; Shabbat HaGadol, the one before Pesach. I was hoping to get to synagogue, but that my not happen.
One day at a time.
