bone scan: negative, outlook: positive :-)

Just a quick update here. I'm tired but happy, and just returned from 4 days in Modi'in with family for my wonderful niece's Bat Mitzvah.

Bone scan is negative. No infection. That's a good thing.
MRI next, the going theory is that it is hip bursitis. I hope I can help this pain to go away with physical therapy. That is the main treatment for bursitis.

I am enjoying life, with (and despite of) the pain. While I was in Modi'in, a good friend said something that was very touching to me. He said that he had news to tell me. When I asked enthusiastically what it is, he said "Sarah's back". At first I didn't understand... which Sarah? He had to drop all subtlety and say "it's you, Sarah, you've come back! We have you back". Then my sister-in-law said the same thing. And the great thing is, ... I agree.

Life's lessons are painfully learned, and never over. But the understanding that comes from them is a gift not attainable by any other means.
