The spirit moved me today. For the first time in my whole life, I bought a lottery ticket. :-)
I was just passing by the Lotto stand, and I passed it a bit, then stopped and looked at it. I decided, "why not?". I chose kids' birthdays, parents' various birthdays, gematria numbers and the like. It was kinda fun. I kept asking the lotto stand guy what to do- it was probably strange that here is a grown woman who has never bought a lottery ticket.
The drawing is tomorrow. 12,000,000 shekels. I'll get that mattress... and oh, a better car, too. Oh, and paint the house; or maybe just stone face it so it won't need another paint job... and all that other stuff. We'll be able to pay back some people who lent us money in hard times, and what ever is left goes to the mortgage. See? Got it covered. :-)
It's that whole "what are the chances?" thing... :-)

p.s. Yes, we have everything to be thankful for. And we don't "need" more. But the idea of buying a luxurious bed to make you more comfortable is not so terrible. May Hashem smile on you during the lottery drawing.
I always say, if God wants you to win then you only need one ticket.

Of course, I always say this, but I have yet to buy the ticket....
