I am on antibiotics now for the return of the ear infection. My doctor said to get through the biopsy and see how the ear infection goes. If it remains stubborn, he'll get a CT to see if there is an abscess in the inner ear. For now we'll keep things stable with the Zinnat (antibiotic) and hopefully everything will go fine with the biopsy. I'll call my ID doctor to let him know about this, and hopefully it'll be OK to go ahead with the biopsy. I'm going to be so upset if it has to be postponed. I need information!! I need to know what is happening in my thigh. It's enough to go a little nuts having long term pain with no diagnosis. Now I may be getting closer to a diagnosis, and it may have to be postponed. Stay tuned.
Trying a new pain killer also. The Algolyisin doesn't take away the leg pain enough, and I don't want to be on Percocet, it is a narcotic and although it does take the pain away, it makes me spacey. So I am trying this Etopan again (Etodolac). I tried it once and I had a reaction to it- nausea and threw up once (sorry, this isn't for the weak of heart), but my doctor said that it's worth trying again because maybe my stomach wasn't full at the time, or I got sick from something else. So I'm trying it again. Here's hoping.
