Putting one foot in front of the other....

It's been ages! I haven't written anything- not here, and not my book. Life is so congested and full, all-encompassing, that there is no time for any writing. When there seems like there ought to be time, I am exhausted and cannot even sit upright to use my computer.

It is Passover here, and it is a very busy holiday! The preparation takes longer than the actual week-long holiday. One has to remove all remnants of bread or bread products from the house, clean all cabinets, oven, fridge, microwave thoroughly, and all rooms in the house. We have a 9-room house, so it's a big job. Robert does the harder kitchen jobs, thankfully, and me and the children did cabinets and the pantry.

It has been overall a great holiday though. We did a mini-vacation to the beach in Ashkelon. Two days at a sweet motel, and a great beach day. Of course, I made sure everyone was totally covered with sunscreen... except myself. I am nursing a bad burn on my back. Not my best moment...

Here are some pics from our getaway:
Out there on the jetty is my four kids... the dude in front isn't mine, he just got in the way just as I was snapping the photo. (Don't you hate that?)

OK, I have to go now, another holiday is about to descend on the Jews of Am Yisrael. The last day of Passover (last two days for people outside of Israel) is a day of rest, somewhat like Shabbat, but with a few differences. Gotta go light candles and have a few more huge meals. Yah...

Tuesday is the last day of school vacation (it was 2 weeks long), and I have scheduled a jeep tour of the huge crater here in the desert (called "Ramon crater", or "machtesh Ramon"), right in the middle of the city of Mitzpe Ramon, where Robert has worked for 16 years! We have never been in the bottom of the crater, though (it is Israel's answer to the Grand Canyon... on a MUCH smaller scale!) It'll be a nice way to end the holidays.

I am exhausted. Every day, every minute. Find it a huge effort to get out of bed. But, one day at a time, I am putting my feet forward. My mind is almost always fuzzy and tired, but I trudge through, and try my best to make the best out of what there is.

I feel like I am getting ready to come to a big decision to see if I can go off another increment of my meds. It was so hard to do three weeks ago, but the side effects are so bad, and only getting worse, that I feel I need to work up some courage to be brave and cut down the meds more. More withdrawal, another impossible week, but I think the goal is worth it. I'll keep you posted.

My book is going in fits and spurts, and it has been on hold for some time now. I'll get it going again, of that I'm sure. I know you are sure, too! You guys have so much faith in me. Thanks. :)
Happy holidays to everyone out there!

    1. I still can't believe that you made a savings plan and the decision to come! I am so excited! Facebook... the possibilities are boundless, really. Long lost cousins pick up where they left off, and want to be in each other's lives. It is just so amazing, just with some technology, the world is changed forever. Awesome.
