kindey pain?

Today is the first "day in bed" that I have needed in quite a while. It took my by surprise, actually. When I woke at my usual 10-ish, I had a hard time even convincing myself to get up and go to the bathroom. My head felt like it was a big, heavy boulder. Well, I dozed more, then did get to the bathroom, only to get back into bed immediatly therafter. I planned to go for a swim this morning. Ummm..... nope.

My swimming, actually, has been good, except lately I have been more winded with the regular routine I made for myself. I get home afterward and am still trying to get my racing heartrate down even over an hour later. It makes me light-headed to feel that. Is it a symptom of something going on with the O2 balance in my blood?

Why would I ask that odd question? Because for the past month or so, I have had pain in my back, lower right side, a bit lower than the ribs. I chalked it up to back pain, which many human beings deal with. But it is getting more intense, and it comes in waves. It is the area of the kindney (kidneys? Are they close to eachother or on opposite sides?).

To deal with my surgery pain from three months ago, I am still taking Voltaren. It works. Although sometimes I need a double dose to get relief. I scheduled an appointment with my GP to discuss other pain relief options, knowing that she told me to try to lay off the Voltaren.

So I have that appointment on Sunday.
Hopefully she will blow my theory of kidney problems out of the water.
