Well, remember that I said I am a back-up for the third birth? Well, I was called on to back-up. Hilary couldn't make it this morning, so I was on. Three births in one week.
This one this morning was just amazing. It's the birth that doula's dreams are made of. :-) It was all natural, fast, and with a very special couple who are also my good friends. And that baby was *4.5* kilo (that's over 9 lbs)! The woman was so powerful and confident in her birthing... it was beautiful.
It is almost Shabbat now. The sun is setting over three new baby boys in Be'er Sheva, and one tired doula. I am ending a busy, hard week on a birth high. Yay!
